Kaiyi Technology made its debut at the 2025 Taipei International Automation Exhibition, drawing attention with its self-developed “Multi-Axis Motion Demonstration with Vision-Based Control.” The system integrates AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) with multi-axis motion control, demonstrating the core applications of smart manufacturing and offering highly flexible system integration solutions for industrial clients.

According to Kaiyi’s R&D team, traditional automation often relies on fixed programming, which fails to compensate for positional deviations caused by environmental changes or time-related factors. The new platform leverages AOI to recognize object positions in real time and provide feedback to the robotic arm, enabling self-adjustment and learning. For example, in a warehouse scenario, even if items are relocated, the system can detect the change and autonomously locate the correct position to complete tasks, highlighting its intelligent adaptability.

While the demo featured a basic three-axis XYZ system, the concept can extend to more complex multi-axis movements and customized modules. The platform supports both image recognition and laser sensing for higher precision and can integrate WiFi for remote control. It also allows the use of different gripping tools such as vacuum suction, pneumatic grippers, or electric grippers, combined with sensors to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Beyond hardware flexibility, Kaiyi emphasizes customized software development. Unlike standardized AOI systems, this platform is tailored to specific client needs, avoiding unnecessary functions or modules, thereby reducing costs and increasing efficiency. In the future, the integration of AI will further enhance recognition accuracy and expand the system’s knowledge base, reinforcing its role in smart manufacturing.

Kaiyi Technology’s General Manager stated that the purpose of this exhibition is to demonstrate the company’s strengths in hardware-software integration, customized development, and intelligent automation, while fostering collaboration with industry partners to explore the future of manufacturing.
